SUMMARY:Cincinnati Adaptive Arts & Music Camp
DESCRIPTION:July 19-24\, 2026 Northern Kentucky University\, Highland Heigh
ts\, KY Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is nestled in the scenic bluegra
ss hills of Highland Heights\, KY\, just minutes from the vibrant culture o
f downtown Cincinnati and convenient to the Greater Cincinnati Airport. Cin
cinnati Adaptive Arts & Music Camp (CAAMC) is a collaboration between May
We Help (MWH) and Adaptive Music and Arts Project (AAMP).  By combining
specialized engineering with adaptive instruction\, CAAMC provides a camp e
xperience where every person can find their voice\, their rhythm\, and thei
r masterpiece.\n\nOur Philosophy\nWe believe art and music is for everyone.
CAAMC provides a vibrant\, inclusive community where children and adults w
ith physical disabilities can learn in a welcoming environment. Here\, we c
elebrate the unique creativity and perspectives you bring to the stage and
the studio. Our camp strives to create:\n\nAn Inclusive Community: A space
where you truly belong and build lifelong friendships.\nTraining For All S
kill Levels: Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time
or you’re an advanced artist refining your technique.\nA Personalized Inn
ovation for Each Student: In partnership with May We Help\, our faculty an
d volunteer engineers create custom solutions and a Music/Art Adaptation Pl
an (MAP/AAP) tailored specifically to your needs.\n\n\n\nIndividualized Ada
ptive Music or Art Plan\nCAAMC was designed for campers with physical disab
ilities to access musical instruments and artistic tools that are typically
inaccessible due to the design of the instrument or art supplies. The adap
tive design of camp provides a multidisciplinary support team for each camp
er who contributes to their success in the week. The team includes the camp
 er\, instructors\, OT/Prosthetist\, volunteer engineer/designer\, and paren
 t. Campers will leave camp with a Music Adaptation Plan (MAP) or Art Adapta
tion Plan (AAP)\, which provides a clear plan for techniques\, an approach
for ongoing instruction\, and a prototype of a custom adaptive solution (su
ch as instrument grip\, specialized stand\, etc.) the campers need to facil
itate the successful use of the selected instrument or art medium.\nChoose
Your Path\nCAAMC believes that passion thrives when campers have the agency
to follow their own creative curiosity. At CAAMC\, “Choosing Your Path
” means more than picking a class\; it is an invitation for a camper to s
pend the week diving deep into a medium that inspires them: Music or Visual
Arts. Note- Start and end times for camp will be communicated to registran
 ts.
