SUMMARY:Cincinnati Adaptive Arts & Music Camp
DESCRIPTION:July 19-24\, 2026\nNorthern Kentucky University\, Highland Heig
hts\, KY\n\nNorthern Kentucky University (NKU) is nestled in the scenic blu
egrass hills of Highland Heights\, KY\, just minutes from the vibrant cultu
re of downtown Cincinnati and convenient to the Greater Cincinnati Airport.
\n\nCincinnati Adaptive Arts & Music Camp (CAAMC) is a collaboration betwee
n May We Help (MWH) and Adaptive Music and Arts Project (AAMP).  By com
bining specialized engineering with adaptive instruction\, CAAMC provides a
camp experience where every person can find their voice\, their rhythm\, a
nd their masterpiece.\n\nOur Philosophy\nWe believe art and music is for ev
eryone. CAAMC provides a vibrant\, inclusive community where children and a
dults with physical disabilities can learn in a welcoming environment. Here
\, we celebrate the unique creativity and perspectives you bring to the sta
ge and the studio. Our camp strives to create:\n\n An Inclusive Community:
A space where you truly belong and build lifelong friendships.\n Trainin
g For All Skill Levels: Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the
first time or you’re an advanced artist refining your technique.\n A Per
sonalized Innovation for Each Student: In partnership with May We Help\, o
ur faculty and volunteer engineers create custom solutions and a Music/Art
Adaptation Plan (MAP/AAP) tailored specifically to your needs.\n\n\n\nIndiv
idualized Adaptive Music or Art Plan\nCAAMC was designed for campers with p
hysical disabilities to access musical instruments and artistic tools that
are typically inaccessible due to the design of the instrument or art suppl
ies.\n\nThe adaptive design of camp provides a multidisciplinary support te
am for each camper who contributes to their success in the week. The team i
 ncludes the camper\, instructors\, OT/Prosthetist\, volunteer engineer/desi
gner\, and parent.\n\nCampers will leave camp with a Music Adaptation Plan
(MAP) or Art Adaptation Plan (AAP)\, which provides a clear plan for techni
ques\, an approach for ongoing instruction\, and a prototype of a custom ad
aptive solution (such as instrument grip\, specialized stand\, etc.) the ca
mpers need to facilitate the successful use of the selected instrument or a
rt medium.\nChoose Your Path\nCAAMC believes that passion thrives when camp
ers have the agency to follow their own creative curiosity. At CAAMC\, “C
hoosing Your Path” means more than picking a class\; it is an invitation
for a camper to spend the week diving deep into a medium that inspires them
: Music or Visual Arts.\n\nNote- Start and end times for camp will be commu
 nicated to registrants.
